Cooperation between the National Museum of Indonesia and Jakarta History Museum Strengthened through Koleksi Kita

On Friday, 1 August 2025, curators from the National Museum of Indonesia visited the Jakarta History Museum to discuss collaboration for the pilot project on documenting Aceh collections as part of the Koleksi Kita (Indonesian Museums Documentation Project). The initiative is supported by the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP).

From July 29–31, 2025, the National Museum of Indonesia and the Southeast Asia Museum Services (SEAMS) team carried out condition assessments, analysis, and digitization of over 40 significant objects as part of the Koleksi Kita (Indonesian Museums Documentation Project), supported by the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP).
Museum Cataloguing Workshop Held for 12 Museums from Jakarta as part of Koleksi Kita

On July 18th, 2025, the Pusat Konservasi Cagar Budaya (Centre for Conservation Jakarta) in Kota Tua, Jakarta, hosted a one-day workshop and focus group discussion (FGD) on museum cataloguing, held under the Koleksi Kita (Indonesian Museums Documentation Project) initiative. The event brought together 30 participants from 12 museums across Jakarta.

The National Museum of Indonesia today hosted the seminar “Enhancing Museum Documentation for the Preservation and Access to Cultural Collections in Indonesia”, which also marked the official launch of the Indonesian Museums Documentation Project (Koleksi Kita). This multi-year initiative is supported by the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) and reflects ongoing cultural cooperation between Indonesia and the United States.
